Molars?
No, they had bias ply tires and poor alignment specs. With the same components, good tires and a proper alignment the steering is not sloppy. My steering is Mopar with a couple of minor improvements and it’s not sloppy at all.
There are rubber ducks that are more mechanical than you are Dan.
Alright, I’ll play.
Hood pins are in the wrong place and in the pictures of the hood you can see they’ve created low spots in the sheet metal around them because of the distorted reflections it’s showing. Hood would need repair and repaint to be correct, and the metallic paint is a ***** to match.
Black engine bay, some would say that would mean you can count on shortcuts everywhere else too.
Wire harness in the engine bay is a rats nest.
Trunk is done in textured black. Could easily have been done to hide rust
Contours on the trunk lid are wrong and not the same from one side to the other, you can tell from the reflections.
Torsion bars and clips appear original, maybe not a full rebuild on the suspension
All the pictures are too small to judge the rest of the paint quality beyond the 20 ft mark. Could easily be a bondo sculpture at that level of detail, you’d have to see it up close to make a relevant judgement on the paint quality. All you can tell from those is it’s shiny, and that the hood and trunk lid have bodywork/contour issues because of the distorted reflections
Honestly can’t say that one’s in a different league than the original one, just different pros/cons. Not saying it’s a bad car at all, but it’s definitely not perfect and the pricing seems in the ballpark for the obvious issues. Would definitely need an up close inspection to see if there are more paint/bodywork issues.
