Since I put long tube headers on my 72 duster, my pitman arm is hitting when turned all the way right. I have the smaller spline and need a slightly shorter drop on pitman arm from original. Any ideas!?

Does anyone know a place where I can buy a shorter drop pitman arm with the 1-1/8 spline size?

Lastly, will the change to a smaller pitman arm put things out of wack?

The pitman arm and the ideler arm need to have the same geometry. I think there is a "quick responce" set for sale but dont know if it is available for your particular needs or if it would fix your issue. My understanding is that it is shorter to make the stearing quicker.

Got pictures?

You want one that is lower rather than shorter?

How about swapping the 72 linkage out for 73?
Isn't that when they switch from the pitman arm going down to the pitman arm pointing up for the linkage?
May have that backwards.

Shim your steering box. a washer under the bottom bolt will rise the pitman. washer under top bolt will lower pitman.

You need to investigate your motor mounts, not screw with the pitman. That is assuming it is the correct for the car, etc.
