I was wondering if anyone here knows what all the numbers mean. I want to sell this and want to know the year and such before I ebay it.It's got good gears but should be freshened up with bearings and synchros .
Thank You. I pulled it 20 years ago out of a rat 65 barracuda that I bought as a parts car so I had no idea where it really came from other than it was not a 65 transmission.8B455066 is the Vin# of the car that it came out of 68, B is Hamtramck plant, the rest is the sequential #. PP833 is the trans, 2531 is the julian date, Tuesday July 2 1968, 0201 is the production # that day, 201 unit.
I'd let it go for 600 . I haven't listed it yetThat is a very late 68 trans, what is your buy it now?
Please explain Julian date and how it means production date. Thanks.8B455066 is the Vin# of the car that it came out of 68, B is Hamtramck plant, the rest is the sequential #. PP833 is the trans, 2531 is the julian date, Tuesday July 2 1968, 0201 is the production # that day, 201 unit.
Thanks! It is Chryslers 10,000 Day calendar. If you do a search for it, it will allow you to put in the 4 digit date code (behind the "P833") and find out the assembly date.
