All,

I am trying to find a steering coupling rebuild kit for a 1974 Duster. I pretty much need a rebuild kit where the ??? is below and the shaft. Thanks!

go to e-bay I have seen a couple listed there a few days ago. the item number was 150637132163

Thanks! I just made a purchase from steerandgear. I bought the coupler and kit. The salesman is a Duster owner and was very helpful. Next up - steering gearbox!

Yup,it's more of a boot but looks to be much better than oem.

I was gonna look at firmfeel at as well for you but thier websight server is not responding.
I hope it all works! We'll find out when I get back from training.

FWIW, Dorman part number 425-253 (less than $8.00) appears to be exactly the same as what's being sold on ebay for $20-45. (Also the same as the base kit that Bouchillon or Steer and Gear is selling). The Dorman catalog lists it for vans. I bought one that I plan to install in my '69 C-Body. I've compared the parts. With the exception of the ID of shaft hole in the rubber seal, everything is identical. Heck, even the kit I bought off ebay years ago for my Duster had the orange seal with the hole smaller than original.

So far I've seen no reason why it won't fit and work on our a-bodies.
