I couldn't resist this one, it was on Craigslist in the MotorCity and was less than four miles from my Mom's house. It had been advertised a few weeks ago and because of some family issues I couldn't go see it. I did exchange a few emails with the owner and he didn't want to get rid of it but because he was getting notices from the city, he really needed to get rid of it by the end of the month which is tomorrow. I finally got a chance to call him yesterday (Frriday) and he said he had just sold it. Then I get a call this morning and he told me the deal fell through and I was able to go make the deal. Since he needed it gone part of the deal was that I get it towed today, it went over to my Mom's house whom had convieniently left for the warmer climate of Florida.

It's pretty solid but has a lot of body filler on each side and isn't running. The interior has been redone but it looks like a long time ago. Someone put a newer steering column and B&M shifter but the good news is a dual master cylinder for the brakes has also been installed. Lots of potential but I'm not sure what to do with it... may keep it may not.

I suggest, change the oil and filter before you actually
get it to run.

Looks like a great project!!!

Nice find a 66 Valiant Convertible.
that must be a 225/ and not a 170/ and it has power brakes.

What a steal! That is a beauty of a little car and should be a blast this coming summer. I agree about the oil and also may be bad gas so expect to change a filter there too. very cool, great score slotcarwon.
