Not quite. There was the 67-older spline count, the 68-up non lock up spline count and the lockup version Changed spline count again, I don't remember exact numbers but the lock up was 1 spline different from non.
"Something like" 23 for non lockup and 24 for lockup or vise versa.
The slotted drive ( the inner pump rotor that the TC drives) looks like what is known as a "double D" drive in the machinist world,

On "shags72"'s post about not being able to get the converter in, sometimes they drop right in and other times they put up a fight... There's actually 3 steps of engagement involved in getting a converter in. The input shaft, the stator (solid, trans part doesn't turn but the TC turns on it when driven by the engine) and the pump drive lugs. Are you trying to put the original converter back on or a different one?
