what is the easiest way to get the bushings in the rear eyelets of the leaf springs? these go in half way and thats it. i spayed lube on them. i even tried sticking a bolt through the bushings and pressing them in that way, all it does is " mushroom" them out. they are not to long.please help. thanks, mike.

I'm thinking you either have the wrong bushings, or there is a chunk of the old bushing still in the spring. Did they go into the top of the hanger ok? When I changed mine out they slid right into place with no problem.
Did you old bushings come out in two pieces ok?

I always make sure the old one's are cleaned out real good scrap out with a screwdriver. I use a little lube (grease) to put new ones in. Clhyer sounds right you might have the wrong ones. you might want to double check.

these are new springs and new bushings. i will try grease. i used p.b. blaster as a lube with no success.

A penatrant like pb blaster may swell the part and eventually degrade the material.
Try spray silicone lubricant and a press.
