Hi Guys , Has anyone swapped a later model 318 FI , 5 speed from a Dakota into a 75 Duster if so any advice, I am new at this all advice would be a help .Thanks Bob

Welcome to FABO! Can't help you on the swap, but I'm sure someone here can. I have a 75 also, so would like to see some pics of the car. ..

Hey Bob,, welcome to FABO,, you'll find a ton of knowledge here,and lots of support for your project..

If you go to the "forum section", clik on "transmissions" ..You'll find a search button on the right side of the page, near the top.. clik on it, enter "5-speed", I did, and found these 2 posts that I hope will help..

There were many other posts as well..

Thanks for the info Grant I read those post and I know this is going to be a challenge for me I have had this little truck since 2001 and in 09 I bought a new truck and could not sell the Dakota. I would hate to have to scrape it so since I am into Dusters I thought it would be a good way to use the drive train and try to reclaim my youth I had a 72 Gold Duster in high school but anyway Thanks for your Help Later Bob J
