New fuel tank install

I played hookie from work last Monday and worked on my Dart. I had ordered a fuel tank, 3/8" sender and line kit, and a new strap and clips. I got everything but the clips from Quanta Products. The install went smooth and I was suprised how much better the car ran with the new parts on it. The old tank had chunks of rust in it and was probably plugging the original 5/16''
line. The filter sock was rotted on the original sender when I replaced it a year ago. Everytime I changed the fuel filter I would pour orange gas out of it. Dang, I should have taken photos. Toolmanmike

new gas tank are great. the amount of sludge can amaze you at how the car still ran. glad to see all is better now. are you going with 3/8" line to the front?

I also bought a 3/8" line kit from the fuel pump to the tank. It was pre bent and fit quite well. toolmanmike
