Go Bucks, I currently am running a 1987 short bed d150 w/340 727 combo. Am just starting another build some would say cart before horse as I am building motor first then acquiring car. I do know what Im shooting for and there are always a hand full of a bodies available. Anyway 69 340 .030 over 4 inch stroke is what I am currently working on. Eagle crank (forged), eagle h beams ,diamond pistons,first gen w2 race heads. Heads are currently on there way to SDSS Ryan has stated once heads are there we will discuss stage 2 work and a cam . Am shooting for 10.02 to 10.05 to 1 for 93 pump gas think I will stay with solid flat tappet cam. Rotating assy. is being balanced and block work started. I will be digging around for threads on stroker combos with chassis tuning for torque and am looking forward to discussions on this subject. Just fyi truck is 73 340 .030 over forged crank, trw pistons, eddy heads ,hughes hyd roller, 3500 stall , 727, 411 gears in 9.25 rear. Has been lots of fun so far have not had a chance to run down local 1/4 mile track yet.
