Doin a first project with a friend. 72 Dart. Going small block at first, but here is my question. I picked up a 999 trans from a co worker, and was wondering if a simple lock-up converter is all that is needed? I also have a 727 s.b. trans but was thinking the extra fwd clutch plates (in the 999) would be helpful. Not sure how Im gonna go, but any input would be helpful. thanx
 
Welcome, Is it a A998 or A999 they are both 904 lock up one,The 999 has a electronic speedo set up if I remember. But both will bolt up to a 318 with a lock up converter or a 360 with a proper flex plate.
