i have the stock intake and two barrel carb on my 318 right now what should i look for, as in anything price is a huge factor and would like to do the whole thing for less then 800 bucks, way less if i can help it, i'v been looking at the holley avenger carbs, any thoughts on those. am i going to be sorry if i cheep out on the intake?

Search the classifieds, craigs list or (Gulp) E-bay for a Edelbrock Performer. (or a Weiand Action Plus or a Edel. LD4B)
The Holley Avenger carbs come with very good comments. A 570 would be very good for a 318.

The edelbrock performer is a good manifold for a relatively stock 318. I have a brand new/never used, edelbrock performer that will be for sale soon if you are interested...
