Hi, My name is Ken. I'm going to soon be in the market for 69 Dart and was wondering what I would expect to pay for it. I doubt I can find one exactly how I want it, but I hope to get something close.

Here is roughtly what I'm looking for:

68-69 2dr - flexible on the color, but nothing bright.

Hemi hood

Black Vinyl top

Black interior with high back bucket seats. Must have a rear seat. Roll cage is fine.

Custom Auto meter gauge cluster. I've seen stock dashs, with just the cluster upgraded.

Mini tubbed with atleast a 8 3/4

Front tubular suspension, Looking to scrap the leaf springs and torsion bars and have the underneath upgraded to coil overs, rack steering, and 4 wheel disc brakes.

Prefer 4 speed but would consider automatic

Prefer big block but would consider a small block, looking to be in the 500-600HP range on motor.

I'm not looking for a numbers matched car, I just looking for a fun street car that I can take to cruise nights. I'd like it to be clean, doesn't have to be show car quality, but i'd like it to be rust and dent free, with nice paint and clean interior.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for any input.

Honest opinions always preferred

Ken

Welcome to FABO, Ken.

Probably best to find a car with a good body and go from there. Then you can build it like you want. Although, if you can find one close to what you're looking for, your save time and money!!

It typically costs more to build then to buy a heavily modified Mopar already done!!!!!

I was hoping to buy something closer to what I want rather then build it.

Thanks for the feedback and I welcome more!

Welcome from Fredericksburg, VA. I think given the lengthy list of things you are hoping to find in a car, you are probably going to have to expect to make some of those changes yourself.

when I was looking for one I made a list in my head

70-72 =100 points
73 and up = 75 point
demon = 100 points
duster = 85 point
dart sport = 75 points
v8 = 100 points
/6= 75 points
disc brakes =100 points
drum brakes = 75 points
EL5 = 100 points
not EL5 = 75 points

overall condition between 0 and 100 points

add it all up and a green driver quality 71 demon with a V8 and drum brakes is 525 points
a show quality EL5 74 duster with a /6 and disc brakes is 535 points

the higher the points the more desirable the car is (to me)

then use that to compare cars that are not exactly the same
