Let me introduce myself. I own a '70 Dart Swinger 340 / 4spd. I purchased it in 1972 at the age of 18 and loved it. I took it off the road in 1975 to do some repairs/remodelling. Other life issues came along and as a result it's been idle ever since. I sure would like to restart and complete the project. Is there anyone that can enlighten me as to the gauge thickness of the metal used on the body? There are a couple of spots that could use a patch and I'd like to use the correct size. Looking forward to future conversations.

Thanks
Rick J

welcome to the fray - you might want to start a different thread to get your info - but why not cut out the bad and measure the good yourself?

welcome to our happy family!

I use 18 ga, for puffing patches..... after 50 years of rust, hard to say what the original thickness was !???? ha but I would bet on 18 ga. for exterior panels....

Welcome! You will find lots of 70 Swinger owners on here :) Enjoy the site...
