New Old Battery? Old New Battery?

Last year I needed a new battery.

So I picked one up from O'Reilly Auto Parts.

After peeling off the ugly original decal on top, I saw 6 little round plugs and that got me thinking...hmmmm

Bought some vintage Mopar battery caps and a battery decal off of eBay.

It was a Super Start battery so I figured why not go Super Stock...I always do things a little different.

A little bit of special epoxy for plastics.

And now I have a new old battery or an old new battery!

that is slick!!!!! would be even slicker if it lasted more than 2 years and 1 day!!! LOL but do like it!!! I know just take it off and put on the next batt??!!

Pretty cool..... looking.

Just make sure the 'vintage' caps are functional and don't mess up the venting of the cells or you might have a minor explosion....
