I used to be Rarefish383. Changed email and couldn't find a way to make contact and change my password. I would love to recover my old account and delete this one. My old user name is still on file.

For those that may remember me, and those that don't, I've been into performance A bodies since 1972 in high school. I bought a mint 1965 Dart GT 273, 4 speed. White with blue bucket seat interior, for 50 bucks from a substitute teacher. Then a 67 Fastback Barracuda, 273, 4 speed, red with white interior. Over the next few years I had 3 69 340 Swingers, 2 more 67-68 fastbacks. In the early 80's bought a 67 Dodge 440 R/T for my daily driver. In 1999 I bought my dream car, that I found while cruising in one of my Swingers back in the 70's. A 68 Formula S, 383, 4 speed convertible. All numbers matching, from the original owner. I drove it for 2 years and then took it apart, every nut and bolt. Had it media blasted, and put in PPG primer sealer. Fast forward till now. Turned 69 a couple weeks ago and finally have the money to restore the car. Have pics of most of my old Mopar's and one of my 340 powered Front engine Dragster. Be nice to get back in touch with some of my old friends in the area, Joe.

funny i've had three 69 darts a gt and two gts's . still have one and it'd waiting .
I was lucky and got my drivers license in 72, when the gas prices and insurance sky rocketed, and people were dumping muscle cars. Got my first Swinger 340, Orange with Black stripe, black bench seat interior, auto, for $300. The janitor at my high school bought it brand new and only lived about 2 miles from school. When I bought it, I think it was under 10,000 miles. I probably posted this Formula S years ago. I'm finally ready to drop some coin on it.

Welcome back Joe! 68 BB vert fish! Very rare. 4spd or auto?
4 speed. One of 64 built, 24 auto's and 40 sticks. I met a guy at Carlisle that bought one brand new. Over the early years he put fender well headers, aluminum intake, stereo speakers in the rear kick panels and threw all the original stuff away. Both of his kids drove it through high school and college. It's still a beautiful car, black with white top and interior. Only other one I've ever seen in person. Could you see beeing a kid driving that car to school?

I got lucky, mine still had every original nut and bolt on it.

Yes, Joey sent a password change to my old email and it turned out it's my wife's, so I'm back. It shows a 2020 join date. I originally joined in the early 2000's, but I'm happy as is. Only thing is, lots of pics I had posted way back I've lost.

If it's the easiest thing to do the mods can delete the new account

Nice! I had similar 69 but with 340 4spd. Rare fish for sure kudos to you!
