I bought a Valiant Wagon last night. My plan is to give it to my daughter for graduation in a few weeks and help her slowly restore it.

It's a 1963 wagon, it runs and is currently registered. Overall it's in decent change, first thing I'm doing on Tuesday is having the brakes inspected and a tune up. I did manage to open the rear hatch this morning and noticed one of the hinges is busted off (rust) I may try to find a replacement but I think it may be tough. I'll probably end up media blasting it, welding and reinforcing the area and coating the inside with POR 15, I also have to locate part of the housing to open the back window.

I've been doing some research and I notice that a lot of parts are interchangeable with other early Plymouths.

Should be fun, looks like a good forum.

Welcome! I just noticed there's a 65 wagon on Ebay, in Portland, Buy It Now is $1500. Might be worth it for parts for your wagon and others too.

I saw that, to complete for a parts car. It would be cool to have 2 of them.
