Got some real nice new gas caps for '60-'66 A-bodies. Guess where they're not made—if you guessed they're not made in China (or Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Elbonia, Doorknobbistan, Frogtoadia…), you're right!

Here are two pics on bench, and two pics installed on my '62 Lancer. The handle is metal (not black plastic), and it sits horizontally the way it's supposed to when installed. Also there is no dumb warning text about fuel spray. The retainer cam is spring steel and there's no screw hole on the wet side of the gasket, so the cap won't flop around and leak:

I have one on my '62 and two spares squirrelled away for it, and I am under orders not to have more spare parts than I need, so I have several of these in two varieties:

• Picture-perfect shiny as shown, ideal for installation right out of the wrap, $31

and

• Scuffed (not dented, just scuffed) from a boneheaded shipping error, ideal for painting body color (or using as-is if the rest of your car is also scuffed up), $21

$8 postage in the lower 48 states, sending by mail from Seattle.

I have some left, yes. I can't find the box of scuffed ones; it's hiding somewhere on my shelves and I have to take everything off 'em and figure out where I put it. But the shiny ones are close at hand. Send me a PM.
 
slantsixdan, I would like to buy one of those, scuffed one would be fine because I want to paint mine. Not sure how to send PM with my information.

looks like you have the gas cap market cornered on here. my gas cap just disappeared on my 66 signet. have any available?

I don't know if the scuffed caps are just in "deep hibernation" or if they were a casualty of the break-in in November, but they are not findable. Still got a few shiny perfect ones left, though.

The scuffed caps never showed their face. I think they probably got taken along with other random stuff in last Autumn's break-in. Still got a few perfect ones left; send me a PM.
