So the "new" Ford F-150 "hybrid" now "comes" with a 7.2KW "generator" "that you can power your house." Well no, it doesn't. And even if it does it can't be very damned efficient. It turns out that...........
The "generator" is an INVERTER which runs off the lithium (power boost) battery. And from the description, I'm assuming that when it gets low, the "main engine" (gas) start up and charges the batteries back up by means of the electric propulsion motor / generator attached to the transmission.....which means A HELL OF A LOT OF HARDWARE has to be thrashing around just to generate a little bit of power
