i have a set of h beam esp rods. the instructions only talk about torque specs not which way to face the rod. do any of you know. i think you put the bearing notches toward the outside.

On stock rods, I believe the notch goes toward the center of the engine so it can squirt cool oil under the adjoining piston.

these rods dont have that oil hole in them. only the notches keep the baring in place.

The beveled side go's outward to the radius or fillet depending on crank.
The flat side face each other.
The bolts which should be ARP 2000 torque to 72-75 ftlbs.
There are, as far as I know, oil holes[2] in the small end/pin end.

chrysler rods the tangs always go toward the pan rail, or like the post above you can look at the bevel.

i shall finish pistons and rods tonight thank you guys.
and yes your right 3404spdvaliant the small end has those two oil holes. thanks again
