Told my buddy i wasnt fiddling with his timing again until he let me take his carb apart. Float bowl on driver’s side was full of green slime. I keep telling him to stabilize gas before winter storage.

A good mechanic will check all the basics and go for the next thing on their diagnostic flow chart.

I agree, but when a guy insists its a timing issue, then comes back and says timing still isnt right, different steps must be taken.
