No wagons after 66. Why?

Thinking about this question, and remembering how things were as the decade progressed, in general people were "movin' on up" in their lifestyles. It was a time of prosperity, people wanted bigger/fancier things.

In 1967

Plymouth and Dodge didn't set the American Public on fire with Mid-Size Station Wagon sales.

A satisfactory level, but far from over-whelming.
