Pretty sure this is the last major thing I have to take into consideration. Project is a 92 LA roller 360, with 308 stock heads. Gonna be about 9.3:1 compression with SP H116CPs. Cam is tiny, about. .447"/.445" lift with 206/203 duration. However, to what I've been reading, stock springs bind at. .450, waaay too close to reuse. I am aware of Hughes 1110 which would be more than adequate, but have seen many use Comp 901s too, but their max lift is. .490", just barely out of the .050" tolerance for my lift I've seen. I'm assuming those are out of the question? They are a bit cheaper, which is nice because it looks like I'll need new retainers with non factory springs. Unless Hughes accepts the old ones?

And what is an acceptable diameter of spring ? If I can find this info then I can narrow down more springs.

Finally, the pushrods. I have the factory non Adjustable stamped rockers on shafts. Since this is a regrind, I'll need longer pushrods. I plan to get an adjustable pushrod length tool but! How does one account for hydraulic lifter preload and no adjustment on the rockers?? Everything I find is for adjustable rockers.

Sorry for the million questions, I've been going in circles trying to find the right info. Any help at all is appreciated!

Comp 901 should be fine, you will need the matching retainers too. A adjustable checking push rod will help you find the correct pushrod length. IMO as long as you don't plan on reving it too high the stock springs should be fine. Broke in my cam with stock springs .488 lift.
