Any one get a steering column done or buy one from norms speed shop in wi.How was the quality

I just recieved mine yesterday for my '68 barracuda. I ordered a manual steering, floor shift column from him and had him install new upper and lower bearings as well as a new turn signal switch. Looks very nice and am pleased with the transaction, just wish I could say the same with all the other companies I have done business and spent money with.

I know that these columns of Norm's are nice and look really great for a pure restoration, but has anyone looked into the Flaming River, Ididit and other hotrod columns for the A-Bodies? I was thinking that if one took the mounting brackets off the stock column and used them for the hotrod column, WALA new parts and tilt to boot. Powder coated, plain steel, polished stainless or chromed, what's your flavor? Just an idea that Ive been kicking around, especially since I will have to shorten up a stock column if I went that way.
