NOS packaging/ glue removal ideas?

I’m trying to prep a pair of NOS rocker moldings for install but am having a heck of a time trying to remove the tape and glue used to bind them to the paper packaging over the years. I’ve tried a magic eraser, goo-gone and never dull so far with little luck.

Really trying to be careful not to damage the anodized aluminum surface.

Any ideas are welcome!

Mineral spirits paint thinner

Mineral spirits will get right at it.

I've also used coconut oil on sticker residue with some good success. Cover the area and let it sit for a bit.

Goo-gone is OK... about equal to the oil

Olive oil rubbed in lifts it.

All too often I grab the charcoal lighter fluid. Just handy I guess.
