What would you think is the most correct date code for a carb for a 1971 Duster 340 with a SPD of July 9th, and the engine was forged on January 19th 1971. (matching #s car)
#1 March 24th 1971
#2 July 1970
#3 June 30th 1971

Do you have the broadcast sheet?
Line 4. CARB
The last 2 numbers on the carb TAG should match the number on the broadcast sheet

I wish I did but all I have is the date tag.

Sometimes cars have 2 build sheets. One under front seat, one under rear seat bottom.

Worth a look.

Fender tag have any info to help identify?

I have seen building sheets on top of the heater box and have heard of them being between the headliner and roof.
