There are some nuts on the firewall (engine side). Are these for the heater box? This is a 73 a/c car. the nuts are behind the heater box so i was thinking they might hold it in?

I was going to eventualy take the heater box out and put the heater core in and get the door working. Rite now the engine is out of my car so they would be easier to get to. Also I am painting the engine bay so the less wrenching i need to do in there after its painted the better.

Probably. Been a while since I took my 65 Dart's box out, but I recall it is similar to my 65 Newport's (out last year). The box has metal stand-offs to go thru the firewall insulation, w/ nuts on the engine bay side. My Newport has one nut way over on the driver's side, but that box is longer and spans the trans tunnel.

That sucks, That makes one more thing I need to do before the engine goes back in. At this rate Ill be done by the time winter rolls in. :banghead:
