Odometer reset thread question

1970 Swinger with 150 mph speedo in a 71+ dash(round radio knobs). Is this the proper amount of thread that the odometer reset should have? Wondering because it wont poke through the hole in the dash bezel to screw the knob on, and it doesnt look broken; I have a second speedo that has the same amount of thread. Anyone run into this problem?

Your mounting stud has a shoulder which I don't remember.

Problem solved. Turns out whomever worked on my dash before, did not make sure that the speedo lens/holder wasnt being fully seated, which prevented that speedo from sitting as far forward as it should, so thats why the reset stud wasnt coming through the hole.
