So I have my offenhauser intake and I'm installing it on my slant 6 however when I throw it on, the intake port either fits smoothly on the exhaust manifold and not against the engine block, or vice versa. Anyone run into this problem? And how to solve it

The exhaust manifold has IIRC 1/2 inch flanges. I can't remember if the OFFy has the same thickness or are they 3/8 inch thick?

Well I decided to try a long shot and just tighten down all the nuts slowly and evenly and it pulled it together. Threw the carb on now the only problem I have is that the rod that connects to the throttle for the butterfly valve has the hook going in the wrong direction and there is no way to connect it... So I forsee myself either having to purchase a new one or making my own. Any ideas?

Have you been in touch with Offy?
Is that on an early A, with the gas pedal mounted on the floor? Oh boy. Youre in big trouble now.
-I hate to point out the obvious, its on backwards.
-But no;really, its called research.
-A swap to the later style suspended pedal with cable provision is probably the best option. Not that easy a conversion. There are /have been others here attempting this install. Hit the search button. See how theyre doing it.
-I had a 77/6 that I bumped up to 9.0 C/R. It ran nice with the Super6 set-up and a cam upgrade.
