offset hanger question

I'm thinking about using offset hangers and shackles on my Duster. Does anyone use these? I needed to know if stock type tailpipe clearance would be too close. The offset is .80" to the inside.

I have the offset hangers on my 72 duster. I wanted to have some 2 1/2" tailpipes mandrel bent. After looking and measuring, I decided there wasn't enough room. So until I put a fuel cell in, no tailpipes. I had bought a set of stainless tips with 2 1/2" inlets that are sitting in the box. You might be able to do it, but it just seemed too close for my tastes.
