Oh my - heading out on an adventure Sunday

Good luck with it. My neighbor's daughter, who is "one of those" who never checks anything, had one. Top and interior not that great. Who knows the problem. Sounded to me like it was both an engine and trans problem all wrapped into one. They would not would not would not sell it. Then suddenly, one day, here comes a ramp truck. Bye

I don't know what you have for snow and ice there. Be sure to teach her about winter driving, because, regardless of 4WD, they are not the ideal ice/ highway rig

At least you left the house with intent... Hell looking and coming back empty with pics is more than some have furnished. Looks like a nice score and a fairly quick project.

So while the heads from the Shelby Dakota are at the machine shop, Josh and I pulled the bottom apart to check out the bearings. This motor is a 95 and was removed as a runner about 15 years ago. Mileage unknown. In addition the beautiful bearings, from the bottom side the cross hatch in the cylinders is just as pretty.

And in teaching value, she's been working 8 hours a week as a hostess at a small local family restaurant for the last year just so she can pay her part. She paid 2/3 of the purchase price today.
Good for you, way to go dad! Too many kids these days have no skin in the game, and I think that's not good for them in the long run of life. She looks very excited and that's a great feeling that she will never forget! Making memories...

Hoping to refurb what's there, unless it's too far gone. And the interior is nearly spotless and the top was replaced 6 years ago.

Ducks.... I told her this morning "no ducks, or were not going to get it" LOL
Awesome. Have her help you when you work on it. From the smile on her face, I bet she would love it.
What? No Ducks? That aint right. Give me your address, and I'll send her one of the ones in my Gladiator.:lol:
