oil filter plate holes and oil PSI ? or flow

Can the number of holes in the oil filter block plate affect low speed idle oil PSI ?, My 1966 273's oil filter plate has only 3 holes drilled in it. Most have at least 4 holes, and some have 6 holes. Does the number of holes make any effect on PSI? or does it just improve oil flow ?

I have several of these in use, they have 8 holes drilled...has not effected the oil pressure...but it says it increase oil flow over stock plate.

That's what I did on mine. I had a 4 hole plate and I put 4 more holes in it for a total of 8.
I figured that it might fill the filter faster.
