Oil leak

*or cam plug in the back of the block, or gallery screw in plugs in the back of the block..
 
Pull the inspection plate or cover depending on ifs it's an auto or manual and inspect. look at the flexplate/ringgear/clutchplate for oil sling.
 
Use eye protection, shoot the area with brake or carb cleaner, fire it up, let it idle for a few, look for witness marks of leakage.
 
First thing is check your oil psi sending unit which has a tendency to leak having oil to run down to under your engine which make you believe you have a rear main leak or even a oil pan gasket leak..
