oil pan choice

so ive read past threads about what oil pan to run, but opinions vary lol. im putting a 383 in my 72 swinger using a motor plate with stock k frame, i have 4 different oil pans to choose from, a 7qt moroso center sump, a 7qt milodon center sump pan i think for b and e bodies, the stock 6 qt on the '65 383, and a 6qt stock pan that was used on the 440 that was in the car when i bought it.....any suggestions??

use one of the 7 qt pans.

You should be aware that on the A body car, the pan needs a notch to clear the steering linkage.

Yea and thats what ive read, that stock 440 pan didnt but it was in there and worked, id like to use one of the 7qt center sumps... I guess if it didnt clear i could always "make" it fit with a little welding, as long as its not too close to the ground
