Moroso oil pan grinding on centre link

Hey all

383 in my A body has a 7 qt. Moroso pan and the centre link is grinding a hole on right turns. I have an OE clone "A" body pan with the proper relief for the steering but I want to ask about the possibility of oil starvation since I have a high volume oil pump and i am planning to reduce the available oil reservoir when i put the OE pan on? Anyone have experience with this?

Changing the pan may or may not help.

I have run the MOROSO 7.5 qt baffled pans since 1986, never had one rub through. Car is a 383 factory car with correct Pitman and Idle arms.

I would replace a pan every 10 years or so over concern of starving my 383 of oil! I run a Melling HV/HP pump! Ma Mopar never had a big enough pan on these to start with IMO.
Every 4spd equipped car should have had at least 7 qt capacity with baffles and windage tray's and skid plate! JMO!

With the right tune, cam and valve springs, these 383 LB's can make power well into the 7000+ rpm range.
