I'd use the 273 pan for the '64 Valiant. I've seen a few later pans that rubbed in spots, and needing a hammer here or there to get clearance.

I am in the process of installing a 1971 340 in my 1964 barracuda. When the 340 was rebuilt, they installed a 340 oil pan on it.
I had almost fully installed the motor and I noticed the center-link hits the oil pan. on both sides. I am using the stock 273 exhaust for now and it also hits the oil pan.
In order to not have to take the oil pan off my recently rebuilt 273, I have begun shopping around for a 1964 273 oil pan. I'd use the 273 oil pan, it will hopefully give u more clearance. Angelo aka Guido.
