Found an old thread that had fittings that went right into the block which then removed the whole cap and o-ring. Was thinking of 10an from out of the pump passage to the filter then 12an feed. Would that cause any issues? Have included a pic of the of the set up I'm doing.

I think it would be better if both hoses were #10. if a fluid transfer system has different sizes, the inlet hose is larger than outlet

Both of these are pressurized lines with the main restrictions in the system downstream from both hoses; it won't make any difference whatsoever; just a hair more fluid volume in the 2nd one and a fraction of a psi less drop.

Awesome didnt think it would hurt, it's just the fittings that I got have the two different size an.

I bet if you examine the ID of the ends and nipples, that is where you will see the smallest diameters. I have carefully drilled out fittings before to get the ID up a bit.

I wasn't going to drill out the fitting, it's just the ones I ordered have to two different sizes for a 1/2npt to go into the block

Understood; I was just saying that is where the smallest ID is..... some fittings are tighter ID. (You gotta watch for hydraulic system fittings for example...)

It's all good, thank you for the input and help. I'll take a look at them when they come in
