Oil Pump Gasket?

That's it in a nutshell.

I never use them. Had one blow out and it resulted in a significant oil pressure drop. Never again. Once it blows out, it will usually continue to blow a larger section of gasket out.

thats a great point , having one blow out and leaving a gap never even crossed my mind..

I have never used one and even thought it's a thin, dence material, that's a pretty high vibration area and if i was to try one i would propably cheat on the high end of the torque spec. jmo

Im looking forward to this thing running!!

Soon man soon! just waiting on a new pan now. The one I have has been banged up and the bolt holes are a warped etc.. I keep wanting to just finish it but then think I don't want to start over again.

My line of thinkin has always been, if they make a gasket, use one.
