Can the gear on the oil pump intermediate shaft be replaced or is it all one unit?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, this one is not. But thanks for the reply.

Press quote, wait, type outside the quote brackets.

Do you need one that can have the gear removed?

I am pretty sure the gear is pressed onto the shaft, pin or not. So you should be able to separate the two with a press.

Just get the whole piece. A new hardened one is not very expensive. I don't know anywhere to get just the gear.

most are sold as shaft and gear assembly,You can buy a bronze gear, or a melonized single gear. But like RRR said get a hardened one with radius drive, and be done.I take the pinned gear and tap for 1/4 20 set screws drill two shallow divits in shaft, so no hole drilled to weaken shaft.Overkill?Maybe.
