72 Demon gas cap is crooked....looks bad

Want to have it painted to match the stripes, but can't figure out why it isn't straight? Cap fits fine on another car....:wack:

yea, take the cap off, loosen the 3 screw that hold the filler tube to the body, if there is any play in there, rotate is clockwise. if not, make drill new holes to make it straight

Really don't want to drill new holes if there's something I'm overlooking. :happy10:

Not the cap's fault the filler tube was installed on Monday hangover morning and the holes are a little off. You can just slot the holes on the filler tube to rotate it that small amount with no worries.... Might look inside the quarter panel to make sure someone didn't drill new holes because of body work or stripped screws causing this issue.
