It's a 1972 400 with 452 heads, .509 Purple Shaft, Torker intake, holley carb, Mallory ignition (IV-A) and dizzy....
I haven't found out yet if the block was decked when it was built. I have the builder's number, but haven't gotten in touch with him yet.

What was the deck clearance on a stock 400? Just want to figure what the CR is IF it has been zero-decked or heads milled.
What I have heard from others here is that it has stock 400 pistons (Mopar # 3671052/3671053)
 
If those are the piston we were talking about in another post I am not sure if they were stock. Did they use silvolite pistons at the factory?
 

Is it the .590" or .509" cam. That .590" is a big solid lifter cam with 265 degrees of duration @.050"
Not a good thing in a low compression 400.

I'm not sure either, but they have a pentastar and a mopar part #
