i think my trans issue is that the linkage rod is not actuating the trans gear selector arm enough. it does the first time through the gears but when i go back up to Park and then down again, the linkage rod is not allowing the trans gear arm to return all the way to Park and thus throws everything off.

i am wondering if perhaps because i am using all the parts from the /6 67 on the 76 tqflite trans, that maybe i have an incorrect ratio between what the trans gear arm is doing and what the length of the linkage rod is doing?

does anyone know if the V8 linkage from a 76 dart swinger with console shift is EXACTLY the same as the linkage from a 67 /6 console shift?

I had a problem with my gear selector being off and it was a ratio problem. The arm on the trans for the gear selector had to be changed. There are many different length arms.

thanks C Stanley - may i ask where you got your correct ratio arm?

thanks
