I was informed by a member of our Mopar club that there used to be 4 barrel intake manifold designed specifically for the 318. Everything I am seeing online is designed for 273, 318, 340, and 360 motors. I would like to track down a 318 specific model that will best fit the smaller 318 runners. Is anyone familiar with that type of intake? If so,where can I find one?

That would be LD4B intake and there are a few around. Put up a want add on this forum is a good place to start.

^ got one on my Duster atm from a buddy that was building a 273 for his 27' dodge roadster pick up project.

Edelbrock performer is available almost everywhere and has 318 sized ports.

The old Holley street dominator worked really well on my 318 back in the day , not sure if it is better than the LD4B , but if the LD4B is cast iron the holley is lighter

The sp2p is a meage manifd with the TQ layout for the carb pad. There is NO perfoance gain with this intake but mileage will go up. Many have sweared by it to me.

Sp2p is a great intake just put one on a 77 Shortbed 360 throttle response is great. I would love to have another one

It really depends what your using it for. Gearing, vehicle weight, mileage or performance, etc.

All the one's mentioned earlier are good manifold's. The Performer is the most current. If I was looking for a performance only intake with some cam & gear, i'd love to have a LD4B. They're not cheap though on the open market.

If your're looking for a milder, cruiser, driver style engine......The SP2P is a great manifold. Not easy to find these days, but it has great torque and pulls to 5000 r's in most applications.

I have one I got from a good member here, and i'm holding on to it for a future project if I need it.
