Short narrow runners on the TM7. Long slightly bigger runners on the Victor. Victor is about 3 inches taller I think, never measured it. Both have pretty much the same size carb opening. What does the FABO crowd think? Worth the change or not? 470 stroker. TM7 on the car now. Runs 10.40s. Last pic of the Torker is to show the carb opening size same as the TM7. 470 stroker with Stage 6 heads that are ported. It uses a RB intake on the low deck block. I don’t have the flow numbers. TM7 intake. 1000 Pro Systems carb. 11.2 compression. 275/275 625/625 108. 3300 lb duster. 727 with light weight internals. Converter flashes to 4100. 4.10s in a D60 with spool and axles from Doctor Diff. 29/115/15 Hoosier QTPs Thanks. Kim

Victor , or trickflow copy----------tall intakes are a pain in the a$$ on a street car tho------

I have a real Victor, and it doesn’t look anything like that in the plenum.
That’s why I asked.

Is that a Low deck block and a Torker instead of a TM-6 or TM-7? Depends on the rest of the combination with cam, gearing, and compression but I would think it would have to be pretty mild for the Victor to hurt the performance.

It’s a low deck 470 with stage 6 heads and a TM7 intake. Kim

Easy enough swap to try. I switched from a TM6 to an indy on my 512. Has stronger midrange and top end. Both intakes are ported. I don’t have any ET slips to back up my seat of the pants. I did have to build an old school dominator (shorter body) to run my Indy with an air cleaner and the hood.

My experience with the tarantula vs. the Victor (on a +.060 440) was the Victor worked a little better up top, but only when the engine could rpm to match (which I'm gathering yours will!).
Once the tune's re-dialed I think you'll find some E.T. at the track with the Victor on your combo.

I went from a torker to a TM7 on my old 449 and it picked up over a tenth and 3 mph. Kim

I might have to try that. I have a TM7 and an M1. Might have to swap out my Torker II to see what it does.

TM7 is a dam good intake. There was always someone at the track was telling me to take that door stop off. It’s not the 70s anymore. They said I’d pick up 2-3 tenths. I never did try the Victor on my 470. My 470 had M1 and a 1050 dominator on it when it was dynoe’d that the previous owner took off then put a T Ram on it. Kim

TM-7 was a good intake. After it had been out of production for a few years, people started paying a premium for them, and edelbrock brought out a small reissue.
I have a TM7 that was welded up for max ports, an m-1 set up for a dominator, and a super victor for a dominator. Gonna try the two maxwedge manifolds on my victor max wedge 520 when i get it built.
I think there will be more hp separation between the TM7 and the victor on a bigger motor. On a standard port head, i think you would have to spin it quite a bit to see much more out of a victor than the TM7.

There was a dyno from AndyF in his 470 cid build when the trick flow 240's 1st came out in wich he tried s few intakes!

While i dont have a direct comparison between the victor and the tm7 (yet), i have a comparison between a tm7 (welded up for max ports) and a factory 426 max crossram, on an iron head 440" .070 over 426 max.
Removed a 850 dp/tm7 combo, replaced with stock cr with two 750 competition carters, and after tuning the carters the performance improvement was.....nothing.
