Kinda what happened to me at O'Reilly. I gave a two weeks notice. They told me to leave then so I did. I had two weeks vacation coming. On my last check, I got my separation notice. It had a note attached that said since I didn't work out my notice, I forfeited my 2 weeks pay. That's ok. I got them back in spades and then some.

I lived in Springfield, MO, (corporate home for O'Reilly's) for about five years, and in the area for about ten. After knowing many people that worked for O'Reilly's and seeing how they were treated, seeing how the stores closest to home base operated, and seeing the quality of parts being sold (O'Reilly's was one of the first to go to truly garbage grade parts), they're generally the last place I go looking for parts. Their warranty system has no equal in making sure you can't get your parts warrantied.

I never trusted their machine shop with anything, either. I'm not even sure that's still a thing.

That said, they do get stuff to the store faster than anyone else.

Not sure what the fella in OP does for a living, but I hope he does better than o o orileez
