Well, got the rearend, driveline, trans and........of course the 400 big block installed in our 73 duster! It was certainly a challenge even with the Schumacher kit. Got the torque strap from Schumacher as well put in. Of course it wouldn't be a project without some set backs. The shorty hugger headers we had gotten to use will not fit in on the passenger side without beating the heck out of the fenderwall. Which after all the body work to get it looking straight that's not an option, $500+ Schumacher headers aren't a reasonable option either. So it's looking like c body manifolds that we have on the shelf are the best choice.

A couple pics for ya. As you can see the wiring has to be cleaned up and routed. Not sure if you can see in the pic that the heater core motor makes contact to the mopar performance valve cover on the passenger side. All little things by comparison of how far it's come.

Looks like a fit. Now the fun of getting all of it hooked up. enjoy the ride.

Lol, I kept telling my son it was going to be a tight fit. Initially he wanted to go 440 in it, but thankfully I talked him into a low deck. I know 440's squeeze in as well, but as he wants to retain the stock flat hood the 400 was the way to go. Fortunately we have a test stand we broke the engine in on, so we know it all works. The really nice thing is being able to pull my sons plymouth fury up next to it and wire it to match.
