1968 Barracuda fastback. 340 Formula S. Hood inserts/callouts. From the factory were they chromed or painted Argent?

Mine are fully chromed with black paint in the border trim and around the "340 S" portion. I am thinking about having mine restored this winter. I see someone on Ebay restoring them but using the Argent paint instead of chrome. I want to do mine correctly.

IIRC, they are at least two different paint colors used on them: semi flat black, course argent, and ?maybe a third?.

BOOBS. LOL! OK back on topic! Here is what mine look like. The one for the drivers side, looks like someone took a quick pass over it with a glass bead machine. Not hateful, but it still is noticeable and it bothers me.

Yes 68 was the only year for them. 67 was different, just fins, and 69 had a whole different hood. I have pictures of the 383 ones that are in a little better shape.
