Orange box wires

Going to wire the dart enough to go down the drag strip, 3 wires from the orange box are : 1green with brown stripe- ground? 1 brown with yellow stripe- 12volt? 1 light blue with yellow stripe? Thanks. Nwdart

Light blue goes to input side of ballast resistor.

Black or Brown wire goes to coil negative.

Green wire is only used for the 4 pin ballast resistor - not needed.


To find input side of ballast resistor, get a test light and clamp it to the negative battery post, then disconnect both wires from the ballast resistor. Turn the key on and poke the end of the test light into the connectors, whichever one lights the light is the input side and that is the one that you want to use.

I also like to use a piggy back terminal for the one at the ballast resistor. You can find them at NAPA on the electrical rack.
