I see on here that there is a lot of interest in the original owner history so i thought maybe some of us old guys that were smart/ lucky enought to keep there much loved mopar may give some history of it mine is a 71 340 demon 4 speed ordered last week of nov. 1970 built dec.1970 at LA plant del to me in jan 1971 was used as a family car for about a year then to the drag strip just for fun won the class that day the rest is histroy that did included class win at the winter nat'l 1973. the car has 78000 miles is being shown at local shows and is now being up dated with new stuff i think you get the pic.

I have a 1981 Imperial with 14,500 miles that Mom got new in Oct of 1980 as her new company car



Not an old Muscle car but they all have a story.

This car was $19,700 delivered out the door in 1980.

Dad told mom that she was not going to drive it on rainy, snowy days, smoke in it or park close at the store, she had a TC3 to drive daily and this was just her nice day car. She said "well the car is TOO DAMN GOOD FOR ME" and she hardly ever drove it. Once it was several years old I would tease her and tell he I didn't want her driving it much because I didn't want a lot of miles on it when i inherited it.

It has never been driven in the snow, and we think it has been driven in the rain 4 times, it still has the original tires and never had a flat so I tell people it has the original air in the tires

Out of the 14,500 miles I would guess I put around 5,000 of those miles and since 1988 it has been driven about 4,500 miles.
