Before you junk your other cars (other forum link) you need to think about offering them up here, for parts at minimum. The disk brake systems are definately in demand, plus other parts too.
ya they are nice cars, but there not mopars lol. i grew up around mopars so thats all i am, MOPAR OR NO CAR!!wel now ive seen it all, ive been to many lead sled events,, i love the mercs,,and the rivs look good to as a low rider,, as well as the 64 impala,,that all that car is good for,,, but ive never seen a mopar low rider,,
dont tyr putting a HEMI in it if your gonna make it hop,,,it may slam to the ground, and end up in china,,,,
but at least your a mopar guy,,,some one in the low rider world,,representing us,,,i guess,,,
thanks man. trust me the rims wont be gold, that was a guick photoshop someone else did for me,to be honest,i hate goldIf you are ganna go with the daytons I think you should use silver ones. The whole "Green is fo tha money and gold is fo tha honeys" thing died in 1992 along with mini trucks with neon drippy paint paint jobs, thank god! Other than that I think it will look cool.

Thats good about the hopping. Thats going to be a slick azz cruzer when you get done!
& the car you have listed as a 80/81 cordoba is actually a Dodge Mirada...pretty rare!
Here are a few "wild" ideas for your Dart that I think it can be proven helpful.
1. Wet-sand and buff it.
2. Find a set of rallye wheels and trim rings.
3. Enjoy a nice piece of american iron that they dont make anymore.
Jackhammering the piss out of it will only decrease the value and half-*** wreck the future of any sixteen year old that just got his licence to come across something cool to fix up with his father.
Just my opinion on the matter- no offense.
and if you have read any of this thread, you woulda read that i WILL NOT be hopping this. itll be a clean cruizer that will simply go up n down from side to side and the occasional 3 wheel.
SpikeKid, If your intentions are to make your car a low rider and it's done right I think it would look great. I don't know much about the lowering and how it's done . I think if it's done right and does not make the car unsafe then you got yourself a custom mopar that YOU like. There are alot of dedicated mopar guys here that won't like what your doing but do it anyway. When you lower your car does it take away from the cars ride and cornering ability? Will you still be able to make it run like a mopar should? I look forward to seeing your progress and how it's done. Good luck on your build.
b/c have any of you ever been beat by a wheels hopping pancake flopping lowrider?
Oh. I guess I should have read the thread...
Then I would know that it would only be going up and down-side to side.
Oh. And occasionally on three wheels... thats not jackhammering the piss out of it.
Forget I said anything.
F it up nice.
You are obviously not getting it.
He acknowledged up front he is not going to follow the norm on this build. Just because he is not following your standard (polish, rallye wheels) doesn't mean he is doing it wrong, he is just doing it differently. It is his to do what he wants.
At least the other members who do not share his opinion and direction can do it in a civil manner.
ya itll have to run good,as itll be one of my dailys:snakeman:Just make sure that it runs as well as it looks when it's all done. I did alot of tune ups and on the spot carb rebuilds for guys in high school that had a real nice lowrider, custom paint, hydros and a leaky carb or crappy running chrommed out motor. They looked real nice sitting on the side of the road not moving.
That's not a contradiction....there's a big diff between going up and down and three wheel stands as too bouncing the crap out of it. come on guys give the guy some slack it's not like he's dropping a ford engine in it![]()
thats nice, its even got the bellflower exhaust. cant see in the pics of my 5th but i got those tooThis is the closest I'll get to a lowrider Mopar. This one's a Dodge Polara from the '07 Mopar Rally show.
WOW, I see you got the chain wheel on that thing. Classic lowrider8)
It is not for me but it is your car. So I say, "have fun".
Happy Motoring.
I do get it.
It was a contradiction to say "I am not hopping it, it will just be going up and down side to side. And on three wheels."
I posted three ideas and followed it with "no offence".
Sorry if were buthurt here.
Just thought I would throw the "wild" ideas out there.
If thats not civil I don't know what is.
Terrible insight?
My insight is totally inline with 99% of classic car restorers.
I believe in "to each his own" but advice is never a bad thing.
I hope he does what he wants with this car.
I just think hydraulics are not the best for this one.
It looks like a straight old car that is complete.
Hense- my "wild" ideas.
Have a good day.
